Following the success of The Great Create last week we wondered if there was a 'make' in mind that you would like a tutorial on?
Do you long to know how to make a cupcake pincushion?
Hankering for a homemade needlecase?
Let us know your desires and we will try and (try) come up with a legible tutorial for you crafty lot!
Should you need inspiration, we find a good rummage in a fabric shop or crafty establishment, a nosy on a blog or two, usually does the trick, so have a look at these blogs and shops and see if that helps!

Have fun and get crafty!
As a young child i sought 'comfort' in a little button tag called a bobble, it was attached to my favourite red Duffle coat and so Dufflebobble was born. My mum and I are crafty little ladies who love creating beautiful gifts and accessories from gorgeous fabrics.
Its all about us...
- Dufflebobble
- Staverton, Wiltshire, United Kingdom
- We produce handcrafted gifts and accessories whilst changing nappies and feeding the ducks! We enjoy creating lovely thigns from gorgeous fabrics, we also enjoy passing our enthusiasm on by way of local workshops.

Birthday parties & a bit of bobbling
Well, it's been a week of balloons, too much cake and very over excited little girls but finally I think we have returned to normality!
Rosi turned 4 last Tuesday and we had a fabulous tea party for her on Saturday with lots of scrummy cakes and a magician.
In between all that we did manage to squeeze in a bit of bobbling! The Great British Bake Off bug is obviously reaching all ages as we have been selling loads of little people aprons (complete with mini wooden spoon). We have also re-stocked on our Rosi totes after selling out last week, think this new range is going to go well!
Got loads of dates penciled in for November and December where we will be dufflebobbling Christmas style, we'll confirm more soon x thanks bobblers for your continued support x

From the kitchen of Rosi & Kitty -chicken and roasted veg cous cous
Very straight forward, older kiddies could help chop veg and so quick-it's healthy and nutritious and fairly cheap too!
You will need:
Left over root veg
Courgette
Pepper
Mushrooms
Cous cous
Chicken breast
Chop your veg to the size your children can manage (Rosi likes chunky peppers but small mushrooms!)
Cover in oil and roast for 20-30 mins
In the meantime, chop your chicken and fry in a little oil.
About 5 mins befor veg and chicken is ready, cook your cous cous according to packet instructions (it's usually immerse in boiled water for 5 mins), I like to crumble a veg stock cube in this water/cous cous mix as it adds a nice flavour.
Once everything is cooked, mix it all together and serve! Easy x

Rosi's Princess Pasta Sauce
So as we know all princesses are strong, pretty and have beautiful hair - just look at Rapunzal, she lived in a tower and managed to climb out just using her hair, so it goes without saying that to be a princess you must eat like a princess i.s eat all your vegetables and you will be strong, pretty and have Rapunzel like hair!
Today is Rosi's Princess Pasta Sauce, a great sauce that uses up all your left over veg. A sauce that children can also help create and even if they are too young to cook they can help identify the veg as it goes in. So Rosi helped to chop and Kitty put it in the pot (and tried to stir it, although most of it went up the wall!)
Makes loads, so theres plenty over to freeze for later!
1 pepper
1 leek
1 onion
1 courgette
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon of pesto (or make your own - basil, pine nuts, oil, spinach etc)
simply chop all your veg and pop into a big jug
add the tinned tomatoes and stir
heat through till all hard veg is soft
Whiz with a hand held mixer or pop in a soup mixer.
Sauce is done! At this point you can test if it needs anything else, you may want to make it thinner etc (add tomato paste or stock) or you may want to add more veg (cram it in, they'll never know)
The you can add it to cooked pasta, or add cooked mince for the base of spag bol, or lasagnes etc
easy peasy x have fun

Tried and tested freezer cookies -from Rosi &Kittys kitchen
Plan of action for today, freezer cookies!
These cookies are so easy to make and can be frozen ahead of time, baked on the day and are just yum.
Very handy to keep a few rolls in the freezer incase of unexpected guests.
I have substituted the fruit and nuts for various things such as chocolate chips, fresh raspberries and lumps of white chocolate and they still work.
Happy baking x
Ingredients
175g butter , softened
85g golden caster sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
225g plain flour
75g pistachios
75g dried cranberries
Preparation and cooking times
Prep 15 mins
Cook 15 mins
plus chilling
Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla extract with a wooden spoon. stir in the flour, then tip in the pistachios and cranberries - you might need to get your hands in at this stage to bring the mix together as a dough. Halve the dough and shape each half into a log about 5cm across. Wrap in cling film, then chill for 1 hr or freeze for up to 3 months.
Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. slice the logs into 1cm-thick rounds, place on a baking tray lined with baking parchment and bake for 12-15 mins. Cool completely on the tray.
MAKE AHEAD Well wrapped, these dough logs will happily freeze for up to 3 months, meaning you can include freshly made biscuits in your Christmas hampers without any last-minute effort. Simply defrost in the fridge overnight, then slice and cook as above.

From the Kitchen of Rosi & Kitty - Tarte au Citron
Good morning, todays baking goodness is a classic Tarte au Citron. Its so easy to make that chefs of any age can get involved at all the stages (My chefs are 2 & 3)
Now, i love Mary Berry and she is on a pedestal in my kitchen, however sometimes life is too short to make your own pastry so, sorry Mary, i bought a pre-made sweet pastry base for £1.60!
She's glaring at me now!!
Anyway, so now you only need to make the filling, easy peasy eh!
5 Large free-range eggs
125 ml Double Cream
225g Caster Suger
Finely grated zest and juice of 4 lemons
Pre-heat oven to 160 oc/325 oF/gas 3
Break all the eggs into a bowl and whisk lightly with a wire whisk, add all the other ingredients and transfer into a pouring jug.
Place pasty case onto a tray and slide onto oven rack, now fill your pasty case with the mixture and gently push the rack into the oven.
Bake for 30-35 mins or untill mixture is just set but has a slight wobble to it.
Leave it to cool, remove from tray, place on a pretty plate, icing sugar to dust, make a pot of tea and serve. By this time the sun will be out and you can sit in the garden!

From the Kitchen of Rosi & Kitty
As a mum of two little ladies, i thought i would start to share some of our edible creations including Dinner ideas, Baking successes and Snack suggestions - this has come about because the girls love to cook and i love to be crafty, and with all this creativity our brains are bursting to share with everyone!
Chicken and Pea Rissotto
Makes four portions for toddlers
1 Chicken breast, cooked (or left over cooked chicken from a roast)
Handful of peas
1 Chopped leek
Small handful of onions
Cup of Arborio rice
2 pints of Water
1 Vegetable Stock cube
(If you have stock readily available, forget the water and the cube and add 200ml of stock)
Dash of Garlic
Dash of oil
Squeeze of Lemon
Heat oil and garlic in a pan, add onions and heat till they colour.
Add peas and leeks and heat for 2 minutes.
Add arborio rice and heat gently for 2 minutes.
Ladle at a time, add the stock, letting the rice soak it up before adding the next ladle.
Once all the stock is in the pan, add the chicken and heat through for 20 minutes. If rice looks like it needs more liquid at any point, add a dash of boiling water.
Add a squeeze of Lemon and stir through.
Serve warm with a sprinkling of Parmesan on the top.
Very easy and if you make a batch you can freeze portions for another night.
Happy cooking x

Morning musings
Good morning, so today I'm very much looking forward to attending a baby shower-lots of tea and cake yum!
So that the hostess has enough cups I've leant her my Pip Studio tea cups.
Last year for my 30th, my lovely girlfriends bought me tea set, complete with teapot and cake accessories and it's so good I've since added a cake stand and milk jug. However when I saw this next picture I realised just how much more I have to go to get the whole set!
Ah well, collecting is such a hardship he he

Bunting, Hairbands and Crafty fun..
So earlier this month we were asked to create bunting for Sharpem Park and we sent off 20 metres of Jubilee bunting to them and await to hear (and see hopefully) how it was received.
We have been at Lacock for a few weekends this month, selling, touting and generally having crafty madness which has been lovely. Whilst one Bobbler did Lacock, the other did Longscroft Nursery and it went 'chirpingly'. They have a new family of baby chicks that stole the show (Dufflebobble didnt do too badly but the Chicks were the winners!).
and finally, today we held a workshop at Millie Moon in Frome with three lovely ladies, making fabric flowers that became hairbands and brooches. Lovely day.

Creative start to our holiday...
Have had a lovely day at Millie Moon in Frome today with Vicky making doorstops! Met some lovely ladies too.
So tomorrow we head off to the beach for a couple of days for some sea air and hopefully some sunshine, fingers crossed!
However have no fear, we're not gone long! We have a few big orders to fill so will be back on Sunday.
With this in mind, we have a pincushion workshop running at Jumble Jelly in Bradford on Avon and numerous bunting workshops running at Millie Moon throughout the summer. If you are looking for something to do with your creative daughter, we are running flower headband workshops at Millie Moon in April. Suitable from age 8 upwards (mums, grams, aunties welcome and they can make brooches and fascinators to match)
Phew it's going to be a busy year x keep up, we've hit 2012 running!

Good evening...
Today has been a busy day in the Dufflebobble household.
Started the day at 7am (!) with a car boot sale (bit random i know) and then home to bobble in the sunshine. Such gloriously inspiring weather that we bobbled late into the evening and created some new pretties to add to the collection.
Lavender Pillow Stack & Lavender Hearts with matching Canvas
All are now available in our Folksy Shop
Plus, a duffle bag for ballet shoes or jammys.
A rather productive day had by all.

New year, new and exciting things
Can't believe we last blogged back in June! So naughty!
Anyway, we have done It's Darling and had a very successful vintage and handmade fair with them in November 2011, we hit Green Park for a spot of Christmas selling which was incredibly cold but very enjoyable.
So what's in store for 2012?
Duffle bobble will be selling all over Wiltshire, showcasing new and exciting designs. We will also be for sale in a couple of local national trust shops and running workshops in Frome and Bradford on Avon. Phew
Watch this space for dates and further information.
